Candle Burning Tips

  • Trim your wicks! When you first receive your candle, the wooden wick is already trimmed and ready to light. After burning, there will be a black charred section on the top of the wick. Before the next candle burn, break off the charred part and this will prevent black soot and large "dancing" flames!
  • Candles perform best in small - medium spaces. The size and diameter of a candle determines how far the fragrance is able to travel. The bigger the candle, the father the scent! Since these candle tins are about 3 inches in diameter, they are best suited for bedrooms, bathrooms, and hallways.
  • Let the wax melt until it reaches the sides to avoid tunneling. It is okay if the wax does not completely melt to the edge on the first burn. The sides should catch up and create an even melt pool as the candle burns down.

  • Avoid burning candle for more than 4 hours. When you leave a candle burning all day, it increases the risk of a fire hazard.
