A candle made in honor of my brother Jared.

In high school, my brother was a very talented musician. He would write his own rap lyrics, mix his own songs, and upload them to soundcloud. His name was NESS and wrote a song called "Sleepless Nights".

Unfortunately his music career and life was cut way too short and was only 17 when he was diagnosed with HLH (hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis), a very rare disease that affects the immune system. It causes uncontrolled inflammation in the body, damages the organs, and can rapidly lead to death if untreated. A quick and accurate diagnosis is essential, but many physicians don't recognize the symptoms and HLH often gets misdiagnosed or diagnosed too late.

A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the HLH Center of Excellence of Cincinnati Children's which specializes in research and treatment of patients of HLH. In hopes of not only spreading awareness of HLH, but also in hopes of finding better treatments as well
